I will try to be constructive. I bought the same frame for $650 new like 4 years ago. I think it might be a little over priced.

That is strange that marzocchi won't help out. Your local bike shop should be able to send them away to get fixxed. We are quite lucky in Vancouver because marzocchi has a service centre right here. I wasn't much help.
